YM’s Annual Fund campaign will conclude June 30 for fiscal year 2000-2001. This year, Friends must raise $460,000 to meet the budget for Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. As of April 24 Friends have raised $266,386, leaving $193,614 to be raised before June 30.
If you have not supported the Annual Fund since July 1, 2000, then you have not contributed in the current fiscal year. If you have contributed in this fiscal year and it is possible for you to do so again before June 30, it would be greatly appreciated. Please make your check payable to "PYM Annual Fund" and mail to the PYM Development Office, 1515 Cherry Street, Philadelphia PA 19102.
The Annual Fund provides 25 percent of the Yearly Meeting’s General Fund budget, and is the instrument that makes it possible for those Friends who can give beyond their Meeting's covenant to do so. The covenant is the amount of support that each Monthly Meeting has decided it can contribute corporately to PYM. The covenant is not intended to be all that Friends contribute in support of our extended faith community. The Annual Fund makes it possible for Friends to give according to their means – to be good stewards of their faith community.
