PYM Library catalog available on Internet!
am pleased to report that as of April 9, the PYM Library catalog is now accessible through the World Wide Web and we are creating links. By the time you read this, you should be able to go right into the PYM Library catalog from the PYM web site's Library page (www.pym.org/library/), and look up every single book, video, cassette, game, or other item or object in the collection. Library staff viewed the program for the first time in early April and found it easy to use. We will soon mail to Monthly Meetings a little guide to using the catalog on the Web, but adventurous computer users should have no trouble using it immediately.
New books in PYM Library
ould you like to receive by e-mail a list of new books added to the PYM Library? Please e-mail the Library at library@pym.org and ask to receive the latest new books list each time it comes out on e-mail. Or, to have the list mailed to you, call 215-241-7220.
Volunteer needed for CD recording
YM Library needs a skillful volunteer to make compact disk (CD) recordings from ancient and precious cassette tapes of old lectures by weighty and inspiring Friends. I fear that some of these treasures may disintegrate or get lost if circulation increases. We are, of course, expecting some increase in circulation when the catalog is on the Web, and I would like to preserve these rare items. If you are willing to make CDs, and have the required equipment and skill, or if you know of someone who can, please e-mail ritav@pym.org or call 215-241-7219. We will cover the cost of materials needed, and any other expenses incurred.
