The Fellowship of Quakers in the Arts will sponsor an art exhibit, "Soul Searching," during residential Yearly Meeting. The exhibit will be located with the temporary PYM Library in McShea College Center at DeSales University, Station Avenue, Center Valley, Pennsylvania.
The exhibit will be up July 18 through July 21. Meet the artists at a reception from 9:15 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, and enjoy the art, music and refreshments.
Artists are invited to submit two pieces, which must be accompanied by a mission statement. This could be an explanation of your work, a poem, your spiritual beliefs, or how your work was influenced by this year's theme, "Soul Searching." This statement should be mounted on a 5" × 7" index-like card, and should be typed. This will be hung next to your work.
To register for the exhibit, artists must send their name, address and phone number, the title of work(s) they wish to submit, and the approximate size, to Kathleen Sheehan, Box 110, Spring Mount PA 19478, or e-mail Playfulart@aol.com.
Artwork is to be received at DeSales University on Tuesday evening, July 17, between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.
For further information, call Kathleen Sheehan at 610-287-7220.
