riends Medical Society is sponsoring a conference titled "Quaker Medical Outreach at Home and Abroad: A Common Perspective" from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House in Philadelphia. Papers are solicited on Quaker medical outreach at home and abroad. There will be worship sharing in addition to speakers.
Confirmed presenters include:
- Stephen Cary, former Clerk of the Board of American Friends Service Committee, "Potential for Cooperative Ventures"
- Donald Gann, M.D., Clerk of the Board of AFSC, "Prospects for Medical Outreach"
- Jay MacMoran, M.D., "Experiences in Medical Missionary Work in India"
- Joe Wray, M.D., "Nutrition of Women and Children in Developing Countries"
