Come to Yearly Meeting session on March 24

RETURN TO TABLE OF CONTENTS

Plan to attend the first part of this year's Annual Sessions of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting on Saturday, March 24, at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House in Philadelphia.

Morning and afternoon sessions will address the questions:

There will be a presentation and opportunity for questions on the proposal to legally incorporate the Yearly Meeting. Approval will be sought at the July sessions.

The budget for 2001-2002 and nominations to committees will be presented for approval.

In the evening, John Punshon from the Earlham School of Religion will speak on "Organizations and Organisms: How Friends Equip the Saints for What They Have to Do." The dinner and talk are co-sponsored by the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia (Arch Street).

The agenda for the day is on page 3. Additional information was in the January/February issue of PYM News and in a mailing sent in March to Friends in the PYM area. The latter mailing contained registration forms which must be returned by March 16 if you want to have dinner at the meetinghouse that evening, if you are bringing children for the Children's Program, or if you want a room at the Holiday Inn.

Interim Meeting in January decided that the proposed revisions of Faith and Practice to reflect the new PYM structure were not ready to be presented at the March 24 session.
