riendly Crafters serve our Yearly Meeting by producing an array of wonderful hand-made creations that are sold to Friends, visitors, and tourists at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House in Philadelphia. For 30 years, Friendly Crafters have stitched, sewn, sawed, sanded, cut and glued to raise a total of $84,000 for our Yearly Meeting's Annual Fund.
Friendly Crafters invite you to join them by sharing both the time and the gifts God has given to you on behalf of our Yearly Meeting. Perhaps Friendly Crafters groups can be formed in the Quaker retirement communities where there is so much talent. Such gatherings offer an opportunity for fellowship as Friends create their treasures.
You can mail your creations to volunteer Jane Cleaver, c/o Arch Street Meeting House, 320 Arch Street, Philadelphia PA 19106-2114. Also, Jane will be happy to send you labels for your creations that say, "created with love by Friendly Crafters." If you send a receipt for the postage to Elizabeth Foley, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, 1515 Cherry Street, Philadelphia PA 19102, you will be reimbursed for postage. If you have any questions, please call Elizabeth Foley, PYM's development director, at 215-241-7115.
If you have remnants, yarn, ribbon, etc. to contribute, please deliver them to the Arch Street Meeting House, or ask the Interim Meeting member from your Meeting to bring them to Arch Street.
