First-day School teacher
Buckingham Meeting
Buckingham Meeting needs an experienced teacher with possible "special needs" training and a Quaker background to teach a kindergarten to sixth grade group in First-day School. The class session runs 45 minutes, and averages five children. Curriculum planning and lesson plans will be the teacher's responsibility, though supervised by First-day School Committee. $50 per class session. Bookstore clerk
Friends General Conference
The FGC Bookstore, a mail-order bookstore in Philadelphia that serves Friends in North America and abroad, seeks an organized, friendly person for bookstore clerk. Responsibilities include picking and packing book orders, entering payments into the computer, sorting mail, ordering supplies, receiving books and participating in staff meetings. The position is full time with full benefits including health insurance, vacation time and sick leave. Starting salary is between $14,000 and $16,000. Ideal candidates would have some computer experience. FGC expects to begin interviews by November 28 and hopes to fill the position by December 8.
