n Saturday, December 9, Friends will gather at PYM's Arch Street Meeting House to discuss Quaker relationships and activities in East Africa. The main goal is to determine interest in developing ongoing spiritual relationships with Friends in East Africa relationships based on Meeting-to-Meeting and person-to-person contacts rather than one-way aid. In addition, there will be some time for presentations by Friends already active in other projects in East Africa.
The gathering will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 9, at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House in Philadelphia. For more information or if your group is interested in making a presentation, contact me at (610) 430-3265 or ed@computer.org. We should keep in mind that there are more Quakers in Africa than in North America, and there are more Quakers in Kenya than in any other country including the United States. Some countries near Kenya Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, and Congo also have many Friends.
