potluck picnic draws people of peace to a shady lawn by the Delaware River each summer for fellowship and rekindling inspiration for action. This year the picnic will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Taylors Farm in Cinnaminson, New Jersey (Taylors Lane and River Road/County Route 543).
This mid-week time was selected because visitors will be in our area following the 8th International Conference of War Tax Resistance and Peace Tax Campaigns. For the first time the United States is hosting this biennial conference which draws attenders from a dozen or more countries. It will be held July 6-9 at Catholic University in Washington, D.C., under the joint sponsorship of the National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund and the National War Tax Resistance Coordinating Committee.
Several members of PYM's War Tax Concerns/Support Group plan to attend the conference in Washington, and would welcome inquiries from others. Call me at 215-241-7240 for further details or for directions to the July 12 picnic.
