ave you ever felt the need to see a counselor? How about a Quaker counselor? Did you know that the Friends Counseling Service is available to provide counseling to members and attenders of Friends Meetings?
This service is provided by Friends who are licensed or certified mental health professionals and are active members of PYM, widely dispersed throughout the Yearly Meeting area. Services include psychiatric evaluation and treatment, psychological evaluation and counseling for adults and children in individual, couple, or family settings. Some counselors lead groups, which focus on specific life topics as well as general therapeutic issues. All services are confidential, and service is never denied because of lack of means.
For more information or referral, call Counseling Service Coordinator Deborah Cooper at 215-248-0489.
