consultation/training on Quaker
Service is being organized through Quaker Volunteer Service and Witness Network
for June 24-30 at Earlham College, following the Friends Association for Higher
Education annual gathering. The goal of this consultation/training is to
nurture new Quaker service programs, and to improve existing ones. Friends from
various branches of Quakerism will be invited to provide diverse perspectives.
At least one third of the participants will be under age 25. There will be
discussion on a wide variety of themes (both practical and spiritual) along
with a two-day work project. Presenters include Chris Parker (New England
Yearly Meeting), Anthony Manousos (Pacific Yearly Meeting), Curt Ankeny
(Friends United Meeting), Mike Gray (Intermountain Yearly Meeting), and others
