Communication with Yearly Meeting Staff
When PYM Friends speak of "Yearly Meeting," they may mean one or more things. "Yearly Meeting" can refer to the full community of members throughout the Delaware Valley (and somewhat beyond). Or it can refer to the annual sessions in which we come together to worship and do business on behalf of that full community. Or it can refer to the committees and working groups that we form to season and conduct our business on an ongoing basis. Or it can refer to the employees who provide day-by-day support of all the other forms of "Yearly Meeting."
Most of these employees can be found during business hours at Friends Center, an office complex in downtown Philadelphia, but they are also often found on evenings or weekends in committee meetings, information programs, meetings for worship — out in the midst of Yearly Meeting. with 215-241 may be reached by dialing 1-800-2200-PYM (1-800-220-0796). This
toll-free service is provided by the Yearly Meeting to encourage contact by
Friends who live so far from Philadelphia that it's a toll call. It will speed
your call if you are prepared to enter the last four digits of the staff
member's number from a touch-tone phone. PYM pays for each call placed.
Please telephone the recipient at the Yearly Meeting office when sending
a fax. The fax machine is not monitored continuously, so the recipient may not
receive the fax for many hours unless you call.
