PYM NEWS: At Yearly Meeting Sessions March 28-29 in Philadelphia, the children of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting are invited to gather with the full community of Friends for worship, business and fun as well as meet together with their peers for their own worship, business and fun!

PYM NEWS: The March Sessions of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting -- on the theme: “How Are We Doing On Peace?: Revitalizing Our Testimony, Sharing Our Stories” -- will be March 28-30, 2008, at the Fourth and Arch Street Meeting House.
Listening Sessions on Future of Meetinghouse
PYM NEWS: The Arch Street Project Group is gathering input from across the Yearly Meeting on the vision for the future of our ministry at Arch Street Meeting House.

PYM NEWS: Haverford Meeting (PA) is presenting Quaker Quest, a bold new program for Quaker outreach. These are a series of stand-alone information and discussion meetings on specific Quaker topics.
Alternatives to Violence Project in Palestine
PYM NEWS: Joe DiGarbo and Joe Moore, members of Lancaster Meeting (PA), traveled to the Israeli-occupied West Bank in November to help bring the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) to that conflict-ridden part of the world.
Day Helps Students Counter Military Recruiters
PYM NEWS: On November 10, 2007, over fifty people gathered in Lancaster to get the “DIRT” on military recruitment at a Day of Informed Recruitment Training.

PYM NEWS: Returning to work at PYM following three weeks in Israel and Palestine with Christian Peacemaker Teams, I am grateful to find so much emphasis on engaging our Peace Testimony.

PYM NEWS: I was dismayed to find out that Quakers fall in the bottom 1% when it comes to giving to the larger body of our religious organization.
Coming to terms with my ministry, and a call to the ministry of others
PYM NEWS: It’s hard to be Quakers because our spirituality requires all of us to take on the role of ministers and also the role of lay people. We have to equally receive healing and spiritual nurture and give healing and spiritual nurture, though not always simultaneously.

PYM NEWS: The Nominating Committee of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is composed of Friends named by their Quarterly Meeting. Only HALF those expected have been appointed, and that is hampering our work. Would you consider this service?
Letter to the Editor: Picnic Celebrates What Brings Joy to Our Work
PYM NEWS: When the invitation goes out throughout PYM for Friends and friends of Friends to share a potluck picnic on Taylor Farm's shady ground on the left bank of the Delaware River, we don't know who will show up. On a lovely afternoon in mid July dozens who had been to previous picnics became acquainted with dozens who had not.
