Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee holds the responsibility for presenting names to Yearly Meeting or Interim Meeting of Friends to serve PYM in the following capacities: as clerks and treasurers of PYM, members of Standing Committees, members-at-large of the Financial Stewardship Committee, members-at-large of Interim Meeting, and representatives to affiliated and external organizations when representation is requested by the responsible Standing Committee. Yearly Meeting or Interim Meeting approve all appointments of persons nominated for these positions.
The Nominating Committee, when making nominations, is sensitive to the need for balance in the areas of geography, gender, and spiritual discernment. The Committee also encourages Friends to view service to the Yearly Meeting as an opportunity for spiritual growth as well as an obligation.
