Princeton Meeting Presents “Awakening the Dreamer”
PYM NEWS: Princeton Meeting is hosting a Symposium entitled “Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream,” at Princeton Friends School on Saturday, May 23.

Summer Peace Camp at Gwynedd Friends
PYM NEWS: For one to three weeks in August, children entering 1st to 6th Grades are invited to join others at Gwynedd Friends Meetinghouse (PA) for a day camp focused on the theme of Peacemaking.

Downingtown's New Website Helps Outreach
outreachPYM NEWS: Downingtown Friends Meeting (PA) has launched a new website as part of a vigorous outreach campaign. One entrance is for outsiders in an effort to get them interested in seeking more information about the Meeting (without being too aggressive), and a second entrance is for members and attenders.

Quaker Parenting Course is Outreach, Inreach

PYM NEWS: Friends Foundation for the Aging is the new name for McCutchen Friends Home, which previously operated a residential and skilled nursing facility in North Plainfield, New Jersey, on properties given by the McCutchen family.

Friends Hospice Begins Active Care
PYM NEWS: Since last October, Friends Hospice’s team of paid and volunteer staff members has been actively working with individuals and families to assist people to live fully as they, their family and friends cope with life-limiting illness.

Woodstown Funds Effort to Remove Bombs
PYM NEWS: Frank Lenik of Woodstown Meeting (NJ) saw a display at a 2007 surveyors conference that immediately caught his attention: “Buy a Locator; Save a Life.” Having once been in the Peace Corps, a Quaker who “walks the walk,” he became intrigued with finding a way to buy some of these metal detectors for locating land mines in former war zones.
