Paid Positions
Middle School Friends Program Assistant
Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is seeking a new Middle School Friends Program Assistant for the middle-school age program. This is a part-time position, on an as-needed basis, to begin October 1st, 2009. The assistant works closely with the MSF Program Coordinator to plan, organize, and lead MSF events.
Assistant Librarian
The Assistant Librarian position is on hold at this time. The Library is scheduled to be moved as part of the renovations of the Friends Center building. We are rethinking the staffing model for our Library in its new location and have decided to hold off on filling the Assistant Librarian position until we are clearer on our needs.
Babysitters
Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is committed to making it convenient for adult members and attenders with small children to participate fully in committees, Interim Meeting, March Sessions, and Summer Sessions activities. We need some dedicated and enthusiastic babysitters so this can happen.

PYM Standing Committees
PYM needs you! There is great work being done by our Yearly Meeting working groups. But we always need people to serve as adminstrators of that work. This requires special gifts of time and experience. But the rewards are great. There is a process that the Nominating Committee goes through to find people for standing committees. You must be a member of a Monthly Meeting in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting and have experience with Quaker discernment practices. Though you might not be asked to serve on a standing committee, the Nominating Committee might suggest you join one of our many working groups. Click on the title above for more information.
Web Volunteers
We are looking for more people to serve on the Web Working Group. The WWG meets via conference calls usually on the third Tuesday evening of each month. If you are a member or attender of a Meeting within Philadelphia Yearly Meeting and have some web based technical expertise and would like to volunteer a few hours a month helping with the site, or would like to help with discerning and developing the policies of the PYM website, please email us at: webmanagers@pym.org
