The explosions that destroyed the World Trade Center, a wedge of the Pentagon, and a field in Western Pennsylvania triggered a shockwave that continues to echo in our hearts and minds.

PYM Quakers, with our historic grounding in the peace testimony, have a strong foundation on which to stand and act. And, with our ongoing practice of seeking the leading of the Spirit, we have the patience to wait for clearness before acting rashly. From these twin roots, our spokespeople have been able to quickly offer our measure of guidance and support to the wider community, and also to call our Society into a process where we can together worship and discern where we are lead in this crisis.
