Identifying Resource Friends

Resource Friends are identified by the councils and then agree to be available to be called on for various needs. The Quaker Life Council identifies areas of necessary expertise, and will cultivate pools of skilled individuals to serve our extended community.

The Quaker Life Council periodically evaluates the benefit of certain areas of expertise in terms of how they are serving local Quaker communities and the resources required to maintain them. The councils can raise up or lay down areas of expertise in the Resource Friends program, as well the Resource Friends program in its entirety. It can also choose to retire or to cease calling on individual Resource Friends.
