Philadelphia Yearly Meeting has several ways to share information online, including our website (calendar events, news stories, and subpages), and newsletters emailed to specific populations of our membership directly or for inclusion in their monthly meeting newsletters. Submit an event via the PYM calendar. Communications staff will prepare it for the appropriate venues.

Submission Deadlines- click on the venue to see timeline for submission and publication for various venues:

Submit at least 30 days in advance using the Share A Story form.

PYM sends a monthly update to Monthly Meeting Newsletter Editors and Website Managers. Event notices intended for inclusion in the update need to be submitted 60 days prior to the first day in the month of the event. For example, an event occurring on October 15 would need to be submitted to Communications by September 15 to be posted on the website and by August 1 to be included in the communication to monthly meeting newsletter editors or other e-newsletters. Submit information by contacting the communications office at communications@pym.org.

Can be sent at any time. Events posted on the PYM.org calendar will automatically be included in the threadletters for Peace & Social Concerns, First Day School, Worship & Ministry, and Pastoral Care. Submit information by navigating to the PYM calendar.

Current PYM Threadletters include:  Finance, First Day School, Friends Education, Pastoral Care, Peace & Social Concerns, Worship & Ministry and Youth. Reports, resources and non-Quaker events suggested for threadletters need to be submitted using by contacting Zachary Dutton, Associate Secretary for Program and Religious Life at zdutton@pym.org. They will be included in the next threadletter.  Threadletters are published in the following, loosely-held schedule: Odd numbered months except July; Communications, Friends Education and Finance are published twice annually.
