A Workshop with Chris Crass

Please Sign Up!

This is a follow up to the public forum being hosted the day before on Friday November 17, and it occurs directly after the organizing meeting of the Quaker Action Group.

The workshop is called, “Organizing for Racial Justice: A Workshop for Quakers, Unitarians and others working to enact a vision for love in the world.” Chris will lead us in a 4 hour workshop exploring faith-based racial justice movements, how to organize ourselves internally and externally to enact racial justice and how to do that while practicing the liberation we seek to create in the world.  He will inspire participants to connect to their values and see themselves as part of larger movements for justice, create a culture of inspiration to counter despair and build resilience for liberation. He will give ideas for the nuts and bolts of organizing. This workshop will be highly interactive and provide many tools for furthering our work for justice in the world. To learn more about Chris’ approaches and thinking on these topics, visit www.afsc.org/friends for a 5 part series of blog posts from a conversation between Chris Crass and Lucy Duncan.
