Haverford Meeting’s Transition Group invites you to a special forum on Being Mortal, physician and author Atul Gawande’s important book about aging, frailty and end-of-life decisions. A #1 New York Times bestseller, Gwande’s moving book discusses the limits of medicine and the importance of living with autonomy, dignity, and joy.

The forum will include viewing portions of the PBS Frontline documentary, “Being Mortal,” a discussion of Gawande’s book (readily available in public libraries) and a series of questions about what is important to you as your health declines. Other resource materials will also be available.

Haverford Meeting’s Transition’s Group has hosted previous forums on Continuous Care Retirement Communities and Aging in Place. Members and Attenders in Haverford Quarter and beyond are welcomed to attend.
