About Junior Interim Meeting:

What is Junior Interim Meeting?

Junior Interim Meeting is an opportunity for PYM’s children to take part in God’s Big Idea- as discerned by them.  It builds on the Children’s Priority, a calling that the children of PYM hear as a group.  For this year, the Children’s Priority is as follows:

"God’s big idea for us is to make the world a better place and share our Quaker Faith by treating ALL as our brothers and sisters. We will do this by raising money and helping those who are hungry and homeless."

Who gets to be part of Junior Interim Meeting?

Junior Interim Meeting is a program for K-5th graders with leadership opportunities for 6-8th graders.

K-5th graders will be involved with the work on their priority.

6-8th graders will have the role of Middle School Leaders for Junior Interim Meeting.  They will be specially tasked and supported in their role as facilitators and guides.  They will have a chance to be part of the planning and execution of the day, learning responsibility, listening, and leadership skills.  We will encourage them to support the youngest JIM members and to support the staff and FAPs as needed.

Children in Kindergarten should be accompanied by a parent unless discussed with the Program Coordinator, Ben Camp.  Loving childcare will be provided at Arch St for kids pre-K or younger if requested in advance.

When is it?

Junior Interim Meeting is held concurrently with (Adult) Interim Meeting, on the second Saturdays of 8 months of the year- September, October, November, January, February, April, May, and June- from 9:30am-1:30pm.

Sounds great!  How do my kids participate?

All participants (K-8th grade) in Junior Interim Meeting will have a onetime online registration that lasts for the year.  After your registration online, you will be directed to download, complete, sign, and mail back or bring in a Medical Form that we must have if your child plans to join us on our trip.  Once you are registered and we have your medical form, all you need to do is let us know via email or response to our invitation that you plan to attend the next Junior Interim Meeting.
