Thomas Hamm, a leading expert on the history of Quakers in America, will give a talk on the Hicksite-Orthodox schism, which divided Friends’ Meetings across the United States and continued from the early 1800s to the mid-1900s. Professor Hamm teaches history at Earlham College, is curator of their Quaker Collection, and is a Pendle Hill board member.
