
Truth in Action
Created by Children and Young People at Yearly Meeting Group (CYPYM) for the 2001 annual sessions, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, Religious Education, 2001, 42 pp. ($13.00)
Content: Based on the testimony of Integrity and inspired by Wilmer Coopers Pendle Hill pamphlet Integrity, this curriculum has activities, games, books to read, and discussions around: 1) truth-telling; 2) being who you are; 3) being faithful to the Light; and 4) acting out of unity within community.
Age Range: Kg. 8th grade, works very well with adults.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes per week, with extra time to choose and locate the book you are planning to use.
Number of Lessons: There are five chapters, with a sample lesson plan at the end of each chapter.
Activities: Games, books to read for several different ages, song to sing, queries to think about, puzzles, hand puppets, service projects, and crafts.
Supplies/Equipment: Bible, clay, oak tag, scissors, VCR, yarn, FGC Hymnal, seeds, dried flowers, dress up clothes, shoe boxes.
