Chapter 1 What do Quakers believe?
Chapter 2 The Arrow Over the Doorway
Content: A structured exploration of the concept of God using a variety of methods; more concrete for the youngest children and more abstract for adults. Begins with background of what Quakers believe about God. Second chapter facilitates the sharing of each individuals experience of God. Complete with two lesson plans.
Age Range: Kg. through Adults. Works very well for intergenerational sharing.
Preparation Time: Time required to choose most appropriate book, quote or activity to use with the age you are teaching. Once that is done, 20 minutes or so to prepare for the lesson.
Number of Lessons: Two lessons, with the first lesson having two parts. Could stretch to four weeks.
Activities: Discussions, worship-sharing, drawing, coloring, crafts, cooking.
Supplies/Equipment: 3 x 5 cards, construction paper, crafts tissue paper, clay, kitchen facilities.
