Young Adult Friends Coordinator
|
Fri 11/16/2007
Dear Friends,
It is a pleasure to share the news that Sadie Forsythe will join
our staff as Young Adult Friends Coordinator.Sadie brings a vision
of both supporting young adults in gathering into their own community
and in being active members of the full community of PYM.
Sadie most recently served as a co-coordinator of Pendle Hill’s
Young Adult Leadership Development Program over the summer, a program
which emphasizes spiritual education, community living and social
witness. She both graduated from Earlham College, with a degree
in Peace and Global Studies, and served on staff at Earlham as a
Campus Ministries Associate. She serves on the board of AFSC and
on Central Committee of FGC. Sadie’s life demonstrates a breadth
and depth in Quakerism, seeking and engaging in community that will
serve and energize the YAF, staff and PYM communities. You can read
a posting by Sadie on FGC’s Quaker Youth Blog at http://www.fgcquaker.org/qy/living-with-intention
to get a sense of her in her own words.
Sadie brings with her a warm and engaging presence and I look
forward to welcoming her on December 3rd.
