Fund are working towards the goal of bringing a Friends education within
affordability for all Quaker families in PYM who seek it. In 2006-07,
there are 375 Quaker children from 73 Monthly Meetings and all 13 Quarters
receiving financial aid from Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. “[We seek]...to ensure that no Philadelphia Yearly Meeting family seeking an education in a Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Friends School for their child be denied that opportunity for financial reason." Grants. Mary Jeanes loans
and Anne Townsend grants are available for post-secondary students. The
Mary Jeanes loan is an interest-free loan to Quaker students. Anne Townsend
grants are awarded to students that are pursuing a vocational education.
