Friends in Public Education.

There are hundreds of Quakers in our community who actively serve public education as teachers, counselors, administrators, board members and parent or community volunteers. PYM supports Friends in public education with the following programs and services:

Saturday, April 5, 2008, 8:30 - 2:30 = Restorative Practices Training Workshop for Educators
Arch Street Meeting House

We are thrilled that Beth Rodman, of the International Institute for Restorative Practices Graduate School, will be leading this exciting program.” This year's program builds on the good attendance and strong interest coming out of last year's Annual Gathering of Quaker Public Educators, which focused on Restorative Justice practices in education. We will be providing training in particular RJ practices, based on the positive experiences of applying RJ practices in several public school programs in our area.
