PURPOSE:
Grants are made for following a specific spiritual leading.

APPLICATION:
AN APPLICATION Form FOR THE CURRENT GRANT CYCLE IS NECESSARY as changes may have occurred since the last cycle.  Application requirements include holding a clearness committee with members of one’s Meeting, church, or spiritual community and writing an essay about one’s spiritual journey. A budget and references are required. Preference is given to members of the Religious Society of Friends.  Grantees should either reside in the US or be spending enough time in the US to be able to attend a fall gathering in New England within a year or two of funding.

Deadlines:  Applications and letters of reference must be received by March 15 for the Spring and September 15 for the Fall  grant cycle. The board meets in April and October for funding decisions.

DISTRIBUTION COMMITTEE: Current Lyman fund board.

ESTABLISHED:
The Lyman Fund is a small private fund established to support individuals seeking to follow their deepest inward spiritual leadings. Because of its size, it is able to make only a limited number of grants each year. As of 2011, the fund no longer gives second grants.  Donations are welcome and may be sent to the Lyman Fund in care of the Administrator. The Lyman Fund is a 501(c) (3) organization.
