I attended the White House Conference on Aging at the WHYY Studios yesterday.  It was billed as an Intergenerational Summit on Aging and brought together folks from 16 to 91 years of age.

Old and young in 5 cities discussed White House Conference on Aging key issues including:  Retirement Security, Healthy Aging, Long-term Care Services & Support and Elder Justice.

It was an incredibly informative day.  I was part of the Elder Justice breakout discussion group which looked at ways to prevent the financial exploitation, abuse and neglect of older adults.

When WHYY puts up a link to the recorded version of the day, I will post it.

Friends organizations involved in aging were well represented.  In fact, a sponsoring partner for the event was Kendal Charitable Funds.

I am curious if anyone connected to this conversation has experiences they would like to talk about regarding Elder Justice?  I’d love to share what I learned if there is interest.
