Young Adult Friends Working Group

The Charge

We strive to help provide vision for the PYM community of young adult Friends (age 18-35-ish), season ideas and leadings, create events & opportunities for worship and fellowship, be a resource for meetings in relation to Young Adult Friends.

The Work

• This is a relatively new working group formed by Young Adult Friends in 2008 and approved by the Education Standing Committee.  Our meetings include fun community building, as well as travel to and worship with different monthly meetings six times a year.
• Issues of concern to us include organizing retreats for young adult Friends to deepen spirituality, supporting young adults to find and follow their calling in life, making young adults more visible in the yearly meeting and supporting the yearly meeting to be inclusive of young adults.
• We have spent time visioning the scope of our work and planned and led a weekend retreat on Joy in our Spirituality. 

The Opportunity

• Join us and encourage other young adult Friends to join us while we  help make the YAF community of PYM more vibrant. 
• Participate in monthly and yearly meeting worship and events.
