The Charge
Our goal is to nurture and strengthen the corporate teaching, learning and experience of Friends and attenders in monthly, quarterly and yearly meetings.
The Work
- Promote learning about the experience of Friends: our spirituality, meetings for worship (including meetings for business), testimonies, community and organization, and our history.
- Support and assist Monthly and Quarterly Meetings in facilitating adult religious education programs: provide curricula, a list of teachers, and speakers and other materials; are knowledgeable about adult religious education resources, methods, practices and theories.
- Review and revise curricula. This includes a course on Basic Quakerism.
- Design and/or facilitate courses/forums on topics of interest to Friends (as teachers/speakers).
- Assist us in finding language that will reach a variety of ages and stages of faith.
