Friends Neil Hartman and Warren Sawyer to Speak about their Experiences as Conscientious Objectors in World War II
The Arch Street Interpretaion Working Group has organized a series of free lunchtime lectures forthe public. This month’s Brown Bag Lunch Lecture features Warren Sawyer and Neil Hartman, both Quakers who were conscientious objectors during World War II. Warren and Neil will discuss their experiences in the Civilian Public Service camps, the Jaundice experiment, and at Byberry Hospital. The lecture begins at 11:45 a.m. and discussion will continue over lunch. Bring your own lunch; beverages provided!
