There is a principle which is pure, placed in the human mind, which in different places and ages hath different names; it is, however, pure and proceeds from God. It is deep and inward, confined to no forms of religion nor excluded from any where the heart stands in perfect sincerity. In whomsoever this takes root and grows, of what nation soever, they become brethren.
-John Woolman, 1762

Last spring at Junior Friends Conference Beekeeper Clifford Sunflower taught young Friends of the Quarter about bees, and the devastating epidemic which has reduced the Pennsylvania bee population by half. The young Friends built bee boxes to be installed at their Meetings this spring.

These pictures are from Horsham Meeting. Clifford brought the bees on April 21st, and they are now in their new home.

The bees arrive at Horsham, and Clifford introduces them to Friends, young and old.
